<p>Here is what Phil had to say about his presentation.</p>
<p>The global economy has been changing the domestic job market for years now. The recession has accelerated these changes. We are in essentially a “jobless economy.” We are facing the prospects of either a “jobless recovery” or a “jobloss recovery.” Meaning, as the economy improves, and global corporate growth returns, hiring will not pick up. We therefore are facing the following “conundrum: companies can grow by leaps and bounds – by double digits – and yet unemployment can skyrocket and remain high.” If we face a “jobless recovery”, or worse, the “jobloss recovery”, the under-employed here in Dayton should be scared to death.</p>
<p>Traditional solutions for the under-employed are obsolete. If there are no jobs to prep people for, then that prepping is a low percentage activity. There needs to be a new, next generation solution to the new job market challenges of a jobless economy. These solutions need to be strategic, not tactical.</p>
<p>Here is Phil&#8217;s bio.</p>
<p>Phil is an innovative leader who has a breadth of experience from roles he’s held in diverse global organizations. His international legal and business experience spans Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as the U.S.</p>
<p>Currently, Phil is Founder &amp; CEO of GreenFields Career Transformation…a Dayton business providing career solutions for the underemployed in a jobless economy.</p>
<p>Phil has also been: Executive Vice President Development and External Relations, and Chief Operating Officer for The National Composite Center; Vice President and General Manager for LexisNexis; Major, United States Air Force; Assistant Attorney General for Ohio.</p>
<p>Phil has a law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law; a BA in human development from Earlham College; is a graduate of the Command and Staff College of the U.S. Air Force; and, completed executive business programs in finance and marketing from the University of Michigan Business School and the University of Dayton’s Center for Leadership and Executive Development.</p>
<p>Currently, he serves as Chairman of several boards, is President of the Engineers Club of Dayton, and is Regional Chairman for the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodore.</p>
